Year: 2026
Field: Socially Conscious Design, Public Awareness
This poster intends to promote awareness and critical reflection on the growing crisis of economic inequality, and the increasing pressure placed on working- and middle-class communities.
The poster seeks to visualize the imbalance between concentrated wealth and collective struggle, asking viewers to consider how economic systems can bear down on the very people whose labor sustains them.

The composition uses a stark visual metaphor to convey the weight of systemic inequality. The crowd is rendered as an interlocking mass of workers, professionals, caregivers, students, and laborers, conveying the broad range of people affected by economic instability. The figures beneath strain, brace, collapse, and push upward against the downward force. Their bodies overlap and compress into a unified form, emphasizing both collective burden and collective resistance. At the center, a single figure representing awareness stands upright, looking directly at the source of pressure above, embodying the moment of recognition when an individual sees the system clearly and can no longer look away.
